Eat Local: Tomball’s Seasonal Breakfast!

Season’s Harvest Cafe

We previously reviewed Season’s Harvest Cafe and our love for it. It’s always nice to eat local and have a great experience. That is still true, but it is even more now. We had the chance to go and have breakfast there yesterday and we are even happier with it than we were previously. The one downside, I forgot to take any pictures of my own food, and the family dug into theirs before I even had a chance!

Our greatest sadness is that they are not close to us, so a quick trip over is not simple. Especially for breakfast it takes bit more planning, but they are worth it every time.

As my wife said, “everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly.” We got there first thing when they opened, so perhaps part of that was their ability to solely focus on our food without other customers, but still their skilled showed through.

Great Allergy-Friendly Food!

They do offer gluten free buckwheat pancakes which were absolutely amazing! They only had the slightest hint of buckwheat, so you knew it was there, but it was not nearly as overwhelming like some are. There were nice and soft, full of delicious blueberries, and were just a fantastic thing to eat. Sadly that can not always be said for gluten free items, so this is a great place if you eat gluten free!

We got an omelet (fresh eggs from their backyard and fresh veg from a local farm), polenta (creamy steaming bowl with your choice of toppings), and the pancakes. It was all absolutely wonderful, fresh, and tasty.

They also offered several other gluten free items such as corn bread and polenta with sausage. Unfortunately we couldn’t try the entire menu, but it is fantastic that they offer an in-house GF bread. It’s super easy to make cornbread gluten free, and yet it is rarely able to be found.

Enjoy Eating Local

If you’re not gluten free, my wife said the biscuit was the best she’d ever had in a restaurant. Second only to my homemade ones, of course;)

We absolutely highly recommended Season’s Harvest Cafe for any meal. They will most certainly be our go to breakfast date place in the future.

Check them out and tell us what you think!

Make it a tasty day,
