Brownie decorating

Decorated brownies

Who doesn’t love to decorate sugar cookies during the Christmas season??? Well we decided to mix it up this year and decorate brownies instead. Simple, fun, and delicious 😊

What you need:

  • 2 packages OKB brownie mix
  • Cookie cutters
  • Icing of your choice in colors you love.
  • Decorating extras

We each wanted to decorate a few brownies so we mixed up two packages of the original brownies according to the package instructions and spread the batter into a 9×13 pan. We baked them at 350 for about 40 minutes.

Lots of help was had from the very beginning.

After brownies are cool use a simple shape to cut out brownies. We decided on a Christmas tree and stocking.

Tip: flipping the brownie over and decorating the bottom guarantees a nice smooth surface.

Let the decorating fun begin. You can make your own icing which is usually what I choose to do. This year however I decided to buy premade icing (no doubt, it’s just not as good as making it yourself) for the ease of the evening.

What a fun and yummy family night!!!

Don’t miss next weeks post as we will show you a great way to use up those brownie scraps after cutting out your fun shapes. Mmmmm
